Ex Luftwaffe airfield to the west of Hamburg, north of the River Elbe. Major administrative, stores and training base for RAF units in the north of RAF (G) area. Closed and handed back to the new Luftwaffe in 1955 and is still in use as one of the latter’s major NCO training centres.
