646 Signals Unit RAF (Detachment from Scharfoldendorf?)
Putlos is north-east of Hamburg and on the same latitude as Kiel, by the Baltic coast to the north of Oldenburg in Holstein (as against the Oldenburg situated in Neidersachsen), and was co-sited on the West German Army Training Ground. Used as a listening post.
