Stadtkreis Kiel was the responsibility of the following higher formations:

Hamburg District 31 Dec 46
On 22 Sep 48 the Norwegian Army under command Hamburg District became responsible for Schleswig-Holstein, however 29th formerly 25th Field Regiment RA continued to be stationed in Hendon Barracks Kiel, 5 (British) Liaison and HQ British Troops was formed in Schleswig for administration.
2nd Norwegian Infantry Battalion relieved 29th Field Regiment RA in Oct 51.
