Part II

Research has found that the 4th Line of Communication Regiment Royal Signals, formed in 1952, was stationed in the Herford area. The exact location is not yet known.

Redesignated 19th Army Group Signal Regiment in 1953, this Unit apparently remained in Herford until about April 1948 when it moved to St Tonis (Tönisvorst) being redesignated as 28th Signal Regiment. Under this guise it came under the Command of SACEUR.
